The national act for the 49th anniversary of the Federation of High School Students (FEEM), was held this morning at the General Luis Ángel Milanés technical school, of Bayamo, capital of Granma.
Accompanied by political leaders, the Young Communists League (UJC) and the education sector in the province, members of the FEEM celebrated the date.
In the act, the young generations expressed their support for the Revolution and to the encouragement of the main economic and social tasks of the country.
Yozara Acosta Nápoles, National President of this student organization, in the act presented the FEEM main challenges, in response to the blockade against Cuba and the subversive actions of the United States government, whose goal is to try to confuse Cuban youth.
During the ceremony, the Panchito Gómez Toro distinction, the highest condition of this organization, was granted to the young Luis Miguel Santiesteban Pérez, with an outstanding role in the FEEM and in his student life.
Likewise, a dozen students of Granma received the cards that accredit them as new members of the Young Communist League (UJC).
