4G Internet services launched in Cauto Cristo

The fourth generation (4G) technology for mobile telephony benefits the customers of Cauto Cristo from this week.

Armando Verdecia Igarza, director of the Cuban Telecommunications Enterprise (Etecsa) at the municipal level highlighted the guarantee of quality in data transmission based on the configuration in each device.

He said that the most recent lines marketed are enabled with this support, while users with previous card numbers must proceed to change it, to access this service.

The scope of these benefits will be more viable in areas with greater coverage, but its positive impact will also depend on the quality or brand of the phones.

The good news is welcomed mainly by the inhabitants of the capital town, where the LTE base radio, was installed.

Yasnel Ramírez Aguilar, one of the clients of this municipality, said he was satisfied with this chance to improve the connection, while he waits to change his SIM card number at the local Etecsa office.

Cauto Cristo is the eighth municipality of Granma to provide Internet users with greater speed for their informational efforts.

The implementation of 4G mobile telephony began in the province with the installation of five base stations in Bayamo in mid-2019.
