An exchange in Granma about the development of the Cuban Baseball strategy took place

The First Vice President of the National Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Recreation, Raúl Fornés Valenciano and other national executives presented the strategy to follow in baseball.

In the meeting held in the room of the Provincial Government with sports workers in Granma, they presented the main actions of the restructuring of the Comprehensive Athlete Preparation Program in Cuba.

Although the limitations imposed by the Covid-19 have prevented its implementation and a limited vision to competitive categories, with the decrease in positive cases, its functionality will increase.

Fornés Valenciano, in the meeting called to review and rescue each of the sports facilities in the territory and stressed the importance of having a little baseball stadium (Beisbolito) in each municipality of Granma.

Based on what was constructed as part of this process, he gave as an example the relevance of adapting the study of the somatotypic patterns of athletes based on the characteristics of the different areas of play, and prioritizing their results in the field of selection of talents.

In keeping with this issue, the expert insisted on the advantages offered by the recently renewed INDER-MINED agreement, an instrument that recognizes areas dedicated to sports education as classrooms and consolidates the ideological political work of athletes.

The INDER official stressed the application of computerization, communication and the use of science, technology and innovation in the sector, the Three Pillars of the Cuban government.

The vice president explained the need to promote new forms of management such as self-employment and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.

Raúl Fornés explained in the exchange carried out that from the 61st National Baseball Series the income process of the athletes will be according to the performance of each one.

For his part, the Provincial Commissioner of Baseball in the province Juan Enrique Orozco Amaya, stressed that the Preselection of the Granma Team to the 61 National Baseball Series is already ready, also detailed that they work to maintain the results and continue to enhance the contribution of athletes and coaches to national teams.

Orozco Amaya added that in the province the attention to sports glories and the repair and recovery of the areas where the various disciplines are practiced are carried out.
