The central activity of tribute to the women of Granma, took place this Monday at the monument that perpetuates the memory of the Mambi Captain Rosa La Bayamesa.

In small gathering given the measures imposed by the current complex epidemiological situation, the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) received the tribute on behalf of the members of the organization throughout the territory.

Wilmer Jerez Milanés, member of the provincial bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba, congratulated them for their dedication and leading participation in all the tasks of the Revolution.

He recognized that for 10 years the FMC of Granma has achieved recognitions both as an outstanding province, or as vanguard at national level, due to the results in the most important tasks of the organization.

Likewise, he assured that in the last year in which Covid-19 has imposed difficult challenges on our people, Cuban women, especially those from Granma province have shared the trench in the most complex situations.
