In order to enrich the vocational training of Granma students and the sectors and institutions that base their management on science and innovative activity, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment ( Citma) of Granma and the Silberto Álvarez Aroche Pre-University Institute of Exact Sciences.

On behalf of the Citma Territorial Delegation, the agreement is signed by Maria Isabel Gilart, Head of the Environment Delegation, and Ricardo Matos Fonseca in his capacity as Director of the educational establishment.

Regarding the usefulness of this agreement and what it contributes in the professional and educational order to the students, Matos Fonseca stated:

“This strategy that is being carried out at the country level takes up the founding ideas of the exact sciences vocational institutes that seek to promote student motivation and interest in exact sciences careers.

“Regarding the agreement between Citma and the center, we hope to exceed our expectations in terms of the treatment of scientific societies that will allow students to approach science careers, a greater link with production centers, that our students have a better idea of the careers, the specialty, that do not remain in theory, which constitutes a valuable contribution aimed at vocational training and professional orientation of these”, said Matos Fonseca.

The manager also highlighted that this agreement also contributes to the preparation of teachers, to a better use of vocational training shifts from the very conception of the class, to the insertion of students in optional courses to enrich their knowledge and to events where the exchange with the specialists themselves, which will contribute to a better conception of the world.
