Cuba reports 4,793 cases of COVID-19 and 45 deaths

At the close of this Monday, October 4, Cuba reported 4,793 new cases of COVID-19 and 45 deaths, as reported this Tuesday in his usual television appearance by Dr. Francisco Durán García, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap ).

There are 52,550 patients admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 27,296 suspects, 2,961 under surveillance, and 22,293 confirmed active.

For COVID-19, 33,290 samples were studied, resulting in 4,793 positive. The country accumulates 9,765,273 samples made and 900,512 positive (10%).

Details of the 4,793 confirmed cases:

4,761 (99.4%) were contacts of confirmed cases, for a total of 888,819 (98.7%).

19 (0.4%) with a source of infection abroad (imported cases), thus accumulating 11 654 (1.3%).

13 (0.3%) with no specified source of infection, thus totaling 39 (0.004%) to date.
