Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has highlighted on Friday the tireless effort in the country in an attempt to prevent the new coronavirus, desease caused by Covid-19, from further spreading across the country.
Miguel Díaz-Canel posted on his Twitter account the results of the most recent executive meeting to assess the epidemiological situation in Cuba.
At the meeting, the head of state praised the transcendental role of the country’s scientific community to fight the Covid-19 pandemic by developing several tools for analyzing statistically the possible evolution of the disease in the country.
On Twiiter, Díaz-Canel praised afresh the initiative to applaud health professionals every day at 9:00 p.m. (local time). ‘#CubaSalva and #Cubaaplaude those who save. Every night louder, longer, more emotional. Love is paid with love,’ he live-tweeted.
The most recent figures showed that 269 positive cases of Covid-19 are registered in Cuba, while thousands of rapid tests continue to be carried out to find others infected.
