Expo sale in Granma shows economic potential

As a continuation of the Economic-Productive Conference held in the country during the current October to promote and invigorate the Cuban economy, in the province of Granma, the Expoventa 2021, “Lights, Opportunities and Challenges” is held. The event allows showing the economic potential of this eastern region, with the participation of the socialist state enterprise and non-state forms of management.

With the inauguration of the Expoventa Granma 2021, “Lights, Opportunities and Challenges”, the eastern territory evaluates the potentialities reflected in the country’s social economic strategy until 2030.

“All the economic actors that we have in the province will be present at this expo here. In other words, the socialist state-owned company that we have called for its strengthening, we already have around 14 approved medium and small companies, and more than 70 presented to the country, we have a group of non-agricultural cooperatives, our own accounts, we are doing an exercise of the sale in garages too ”, explained Prisciliano Guisado Tapia, Head of the Department of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment, and economic collaboration in the Government of Granma.

During three days the event in Granma identifies suppliers, groups idle products by state companies, promotes production chains and online commerce.

“There are ten points in the city where we are exhibiting, this Sierra Maestra hotel, the front of the Cabaret Bayam, the patios of the technical school, and the Vicente Quesada, the front of the Business Group of Commerce and the AZCUBA building, and we have identified which are very good areas for business” continued Guisado Tapia.

Expoventa 2021 in Granma seeks to consolidate productions.

“I believe that entities are preparing for an event, but we have to conceive that the expo are for the consolidation of the offers, and that is what we are working on,” concluded the government leader.

The sessions include conferences, meetings with experts on economic, legal and legislative matters related to the economic sector, contract signing, and other actions that will allow the improvement and strengthening of the Cuban business system.
