From the Government structures, Granma is working to increase the productive results in its coffee program, specifically in the 2022-2023 campaign.

In this sense, the territory works in the incorporation of the development program of this crop, as a program of the Scientific Productive Pole, and in the determination, together with the productive bases, of the producers based on the results and the conditions will be maintained within that program, because they can reach 400 hectares.

This last measure is due to the relevance of concentrating and supporting, with the scarce resources available, those producers who achieve high yields.

The Territorial Tobacco Development Program until 2026 with the participation, enhances the collaboration of scientists and experts from the University of Granma and the Jorge Dimitrov Agricultural Research Institute, all based on the increase in production of twisted tobacco for export and national consumption.

 Within the program, particular importance is given to the advanced movement, in which 24 producers are inserted, who together own about 70 hectares dedicated to the cultivation of yams in 14 production bases.
