Granma students receive first dose of Cuban vaccine Abdala

The young Lara and Silvia cannot hide their emotion because they carry the first dose of Abdala on their shoulders; just like the more than 8 thousand 500 students who since this September 3 in Granma began to receive a ray of hope.

Students from the acting academy of the Professional School of Art, are part of the first group of the pediatric population that begins to be immunized with the Cuban vaccine against Covid-19.

Although they know that the vaccine will allow them to return to school, they know that they must take extreme care to avoid getting sick and express that for this they must comply with the use of the sanitary mask, maintain hygiene and physical distancing and carry a disinfectant for their hands.

The family that accompanied the students also expressed relief and gratitude with the health professionals and the Revolution because the youngest will be immunized against the pandemic, which is hitting our country with a high level of contagion and health complications.

Above all, they expressed the pride that their children can carry a Cuban vaccine on their shoulders, created with the effort, commitment and dedication of our scientists to combat the deadly disease.

Granma will immunize its child population in three groups, to include children and young people between the ages of two and 18, and for them more than a hundred vaccination centers were set up throughout the province.
