Granma´s Vocational Institute prepares for the restart of the school year

Silberto Álvarez Aroche vocational pre-university of Exact Sciences (IPVC), from Granma, converted into an isolation center for suspected Covid-19 patients, is preparing to serve its students for the next restart of the school year.

Roberto Rodríguez Sierra, director of the center, specified that on October 4, twelfth grade students will restart in their municipality of residence and will be attended in schools of this educational level, with the exception of Bayamo and Jiguaní, which will be concentrated with teaching force from the center itself.

He specified that the objective is to free the admission of patients and close the health hospital enabled in this facility to proceed with its sanitation and maintenance, in order to get ready to receive the students.

He added that the center monitors the vaccination process of the more than 600 students throughout the province, while also preparing to serve eleventh and twelfth graders, who must complete their vaccination schedule to return to face-to-face classes.

The director of the vocational pre-university of Granma called for the self-preparation of students from home through teleclasses and to maintain the sanitary measures implemented.

In this sense, he highlighted the use of groups in social networks to maintain communication, as a strategy to achieve the attention and monitoring of students throughout this stage of social isolation due to the pandemic.
