With a master conference entitled The Code of Processes in Cuba, a formula for the development of due process, by the Doctor of Legal Sciences Leonor de los Dolores Estrada Jiménez, began -this Wednesday in the capital of Granma- the IX National Symposium of Law. As Yenisey González Rodríguez, president of the National Union of Jurists of Cuba (UNJC) in Granma, declared to the press, this event, which by tradition has been taking place for nine years in our territory, on this occasion will focus its debates and presentations on the analysis of the norms that have been included in the legislative schedule approved by the National Assembly of People’s Power, which have unquestionable validity and importance. The contest also aims to contribute from research and innovation to legal development and the ordering that is happening today in Cuba in this area. González Rodríguez also reported that this edition has a special singularity: “We are celebrating 45 years of the UNJC and greeting the holding of the IX Congress of jurisprudents, which will take place next June 7 and 8, at the Palace of Conventions from Havana. In the symposium, which continues today, jurists from the provinces of Holguín, Havana, Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila, Santiago de Cuba and Granma participate, as well as law students. Another distinctive character is that most of the papers belong to authors from Granma, which demonstrates the interest of the hosts to contribute from the investigation to the progress of Legal Sciences.
