Masó´s farmers donate agricultural products for isolation centers of Covid-19

Farmers from the Horacio Vega, Credit and Services Cooperative (CCES) from El Zarzal community made a donation of agricultural products to isolation centers set up in the Bartolomé Masó municipality.

The initiative was convened by the grassroots peasant organization of this cooperative through direct exchanges with producers and associates, said Linné Martínez Sánchez, President of the National Association of Small Farmers in Bartolomé Masó.

The call did not wait, she added, and from their own consumptions and reserves, these peasants provided food, vegetables and grains, as well as fuel and transportation for the distribution of these productions.

Such experience was adopted by other productive entities in the territory, such as the Vicente Pérez CCES, located in the municipal seat of Masó, which this Thursday will make its first delivery.

While, in the community of Providencia, Martínez Sánchez stressed, a huge donation of agricultural products is being organized for isolation centers, with the participation of all the farmers. By Orlando Naranjo Escalona.
