Control of population movement in the Camilo Cienfuegos, Ciro Redondo, Pedro Pompa and Micro Cinco neighborhoods, are implemented this weekend in order to contain the spread of the Sars Cov 2 virus, in Bayamo, provincial capital.

The President of the Municipal Defense Council of Bayamo, Calixto Santiesteban Ávila, and Samuel Calzada Deyundé, vice president of the body, as well as Samuel Arias Cisneros, member of the provincial bureau of the Party, held meetings in those demarcations with presidents of popular councils, district delegates, presidents of defense zones, directors of organizations located in the area and representatives of mass organizations to implement the strategy.

The reinforced surveillance system is established from 2: 00 pm until six in the morning, with patrolling at the entrance intersections, as well as at night, in the neighborhoods, to control the total tranquility of the area.

According to the studies that have been carried out and the manifestation of the epidemic, the urban area of ​​Bayamo has the highest concentration of positive cases for Covid19, so the defined actions are aimed at avoiding the increase in infections.

Bayamo already reports more than 600 cases of Covid19 and at the moment, it almost reach 500 active positives, said the leader, and therefore measures are adopted in a similar way to those adopted in areas of the San Juan Popular Council, where during the week progress was noted in containing the epidemic, reported Calixto Santiesteban president of the Municipal Defense Council.

He explained that the manifestation of positive cases is now increasing towards Camilo Cienfuegos, Ciro Redondo, and Pedro Pompa and Micro Cinco, where there is the challenge of containing the spread and attack of the epidemic.

He explained that in these exchanges the external perimeter of the area is defined, and the control carried out by each of the intersections to prevent access, where there will be the action of community work groups, the defense zone and representatives of the mass organizations.

The President of the Municipal Defense Council also pointed out that the work centers that operate in these demarcations are defined, as well as those that provide service and the sale of food.

He reiterated that in the transmission stage is in Bayamo, all the groups recess their functions at one in the afternoon, completely close the entities that are not vital, and prioritize the production and sale of food, agriculture, electricity, water and solid waste collection, which are kept working.

He also reported that all health personnel who work in carrying out the searches are still working, one of the tasks with high priority in the territory.
