The province of Granma implements new measures to achieve an effective control of Covid-19, after a high increase in people infected with this disease in the Recovery Stage of stage 1, of the new normal.
This was the case in the temporary provincial working group, where Dr. Rosmel Vidal Lominchar updated on the complex situation of this territory that accumulates more than a thousand positive cases and 909 of them are autochthonous.
The specialist pointed out that the control of 17 travelers from abroad is maintained in institutions set up for them, the logistical attention and medical assistance in those field hospitals were ensured.
At the meeting they presented several slides that exemplify the spread of the pandemic in the municipalities of Bayamo, Cauto Cristo, Jiguaní and Niquero and the team from the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) that visits this eastern region, announced ten new actions to achieve an effective result.
Dr. Marcos del Risco del Río, National Director of Human Resource of the Minsap explained that work should be done to increase searches, achieve better focus control, further restrict the movement of people in the streets and have enough bed availability.
He added that the measures include better organizing transportation, continuing to improve care at the Celia Sánchez Manduley hospital, achieving greater confinement of the population and strengthening social communication.
For his part, Federico Hernández Hernández, first secretary of the Party in Granma, stressed that the directors of each entity that sale products to the population are responsible, along with the inspector teams and the support group, for checking compliance with the rules of distancing and the wear of facemasks in the lines.
At the Granma Temporary Working Group, a recognition was given to the women of the province, for deserving the National Vanguard condition in the emulation for March 8 and the important role they have played in controlling the current health situation was highlighted.
