New social works in coastal municipalities of Granma

Political and governmental authorities of Granma fulfill a program of visits and opening of social works in the coastal municipalities, in greeting to the 61st anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

The municipality of Media Luna closes 2019 with the maternal and infant mortality rate at zero. So as to continue providing a better health service to the people, a new pediatric facility was inaugurated in the Juan Manuel Márquez Hospital.

Our socialist State does not spare resources for welfare and attention to the people, said Jorge Luis de la Torre Romero, municipal director of Health.

The doctor said that the municipality managed to reduce the rate of low birth weight, overachieved the blood donation plan and also reports a growth in birth rate compared to 2018.

A new socio-administrative building for better comfort in attention to the people in the UEB Electric Office was opened in Campechuela.

The facility, was built by the state, non-state builders and the contribution of the workers of the sector in several voluntary days.

The delegation was also at the Celia Sánchez Manduley Canning Factory, in Campechuela, a young group of seven workers that contributes to the production of food for the people.

The experience is part of an extensive program of mini-industries in all the municipalities of Granma.

In Media Luna, the visit concluded with an exchange with residents of the La Maguana community, where the site of the old asphalt plant of the municipality are adapted and new homes are built, a total of 30, of which 25 are already inhabited.

Federico Hernández, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and First Secretary in Granma, insisted on the importance of continuing the urbanization of the settlement, working on details, gardening; all with the people support and the will of each neighbor.

In Niquero, the tour began with the opening of the local Tax Administration Office and then the new house of Andrea Escalona García, whose first thanks goes to #Fidel.
