The singer Arilendy Rodríguez García (Ary), the journalist of the Granma television station Susel Domínguez Serrano, and the former youth leader Roberto Gómez Reyes received this Tuesday night, in the José Joaquín Palma theater room, the national prize Joven Patria, a distinction that The Martian Youth Movement (MJM) grants outstanding people in the investigation, dissemination and study of the Apostle’s work.
The same recognition was conferred on the National Monument of Dos Ríos and the children’s project Where the palm grows, both from the municipality of Jiguaní.
In the case of Roberto Gómez Reyes, it was highlighted that he fulfills an internationalist mission in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, therefore the parchment was received by the youth leader Ángel Medina, who will send it to the family of the honoree.
In the evening, outstanding personalities from culture, pedagogy and history, such as René Reyes Blázquez, Juan González Fife, Juan Ricardo Verdecia, Marlenis Vázquez Pato and Darién Piña Ávila deserved the Addala (provincial) awards.
Such encouragement was also granted to 13 young people and six institutions of Granma, with extensive experience in the dissemination of the history and life of the Master.
Previously, three winners of the national seminar of Marti studies were applauded: Luis Hernández Donatién and Licolm Jefferson Justis (awards), as well as Fidel Moreno Cubela (mention).
The president of Marti’s MJM in Granma, Yoanis Gallardo Váquez, highlighted in the words of salutation to the winners that the Master’s ideas remain in full force, so they must be defended with constant study and personal example.
At the closing of the solemn act, Yosuan Palacios Ortega, national president of the MJM and Yoimar Magaña Kernizán, official of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists, gave the status of Vanguard to the province of Granma in this movement that seeks to enhance the figure and work of Martí.
