The first secretary of the Party in Granma, Federico Hernández Hernández, classified as excellent and innovative the realization of the Expoventa Granma 2021: Lights, Opportunities and Challenges, held this weekend, in Bayamo.
In the conclusions of the event, the also member of the Central Committee, stressed that with the celebration of the Expo the actions drawn up in the country have been put into practice to boost the economy, counteract the effects of the blockade, defend the Revolution and respond to the demands of the people.
Hernández Hernández signified the responsibility and role of the business system to contribute to raising the standard of living of the people of Granma and transforming society, with the effective use of resources, control, savings, efficiency and fully exploiting the potential of each municipality. and human capital to advance and develop.
The party leader called to make Granma a developed province, based on the potential it has and to truly turn it into the productive pole of eastern Cuba.
The highest political authority of Granma launched the call for the second edition of the business Expoventa in the coming month of December.
For this opportunity he suggested holding a series of workshops in order to improve the organization, create the conditions and respond to the needs of each company to expose and market their products.
He also suggested inviting national entities and new economic actors based in other provinces and increasing the volumes of offers destined for the population.
Expoventa Granma 2021 left a positive balance, since 108 economic actors in the territory exhibited their productions, according to Prisciliano Guisado Tapia, head of the provincial department of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration in Granma.
He also added that as a result of the presentations, 107 business intentions were established, 50 contracts with the tourism sector, sales were made for more than two million pesos, which shows the effectiveness achieved.
“The exchange with the business union reopens the doors to territorial economic development, since the variety of products that our entities have and the opportunities for linking that will help promote economic sustainability were visualized,” he assured.
During these days, business rounds, conferences and exchanges were held with all economic actors in the territory, in which the Credit and Commerce Bank (BANDEC), Popular Savings Bank (BPA), Ministry of Justice, Tourism and Currency Collector Stores (TRD) also participated, the University of Granma and the Center for Postgraduate Education Studies of the ANEC.
In this sense, doubts were clarified about the export of products, certification of their quality, import and export processes, contracts with exporting companies, forms of payment, percentage of interest in the operations of commercialization of goods and services.
In his intervention, Guisado Tapia acknowledged that this first Expoventa revealed the need to seek financing schemes that allow improving the productive results of the entities from the income generated in the different currencies (MLC and CUP).
By way of entertainment for the contributions, presentation, business opportunity, contract signatures and results in the productive chain during the celebration of the Expo-sale, the Comprehensive Provincial Company of the Food industry, the Meat Company of Granma, were recognized by the Business Group of Commerce, the Popular Savings Bank, as well as the BRIZG Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise, the Agricultural Supply entity and the Guisa municipality.
For its part, the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba recognized the participation of the ATM companies, La Universal and Bayamo’s Commerce, Gastronomy and Services Company.
As part of the closing program of the Productive Economic Forum, the Doctor in Economic Sciences, Rubén Villegas Chávez, gave a conference on the link between the University of Granma (UdG) and the business sector for the management of knowledge and innovation in order to promote the development.
The head of the technology transfer and commercialization group of the UdG provided a group of tools and handled key concepts to be mastered by Granma entrepreneurs to insert themselves into business competition from a group of parameters to be certified, quality management and protection in the intellectual property system of the results of innovations.
In line with positioning the assortments of Granma entities in the national and international market, Villegas Chávez announced the installation at the University of Granma of a high-tech laboratory where a multidisciplinary team will work in charge of certifying the quality of the products made in Granma.
The Expoventa Granma 2021 ″ Lights, Opportunities and Challenges ”, held in Bayamo this weekend, made possible to visualize the potential of all economic actors in the territory, as well as the signing of contracts and letters of intent that allow several economic actors to be linked together and open up other development possibilities based on the work of all factors in order to satisfy the demands of the population.
