Strengthening community work based on the performance of the delegate in the demarcations will continue to be the challenge of the Organs of People’s Power on the 45th anniversary of its creation.
This was formed during a meeting of the political and governmental authorities of Granma with the deputies and delegate of this eastern territory.
¨Having this meeting is to exalt and reaffirm the power of the people, meeting with delegates, with presidents of the Municipal Assemblies, with presidents of popular councils has, without a doubt, been a space of great commitment, of much reaffirmation of that important need that we have to continue perfecting the work of the People’s Power ¨, expressed Federico Hernández, First Secretary of the Party in Granma.
The role of the delegate during these 45 years will also be recognized in the seventh ordinary period of the National Assembly of People’s Power in its ninth term scheduled for October 27 of the current year. The deputies and delegates received at this meeting the congratulations of the authorities on behalf of the people of Granma whom they represent.
¨The role of the delegates based on the powers they have, of the presidents of popular councils, of the commissions of the assemblies and of the assemblies themselves, of their leadership and of the assembly made up of all its delegates is closely related to the aspirations that we also want. Strengthen work in the neighborhood, strengthen ideology, multiply solidarity, multiply this neighborhood scenario as one more space to defend the Revolution, but at the same time to influence other tasks such as confronting the covid, economic development, compliance with the economic and social strategy, the increase in the revolutionary vigilance in the face of this wave of discredit to the Revolution and the calls for marches that have nothing to do with the work of the Revolution in order to destroy and undermine its ideological foundations.
That is why I convey to the structures of Popular Power on its 45th anniversary many congratulations on behalf of the people, which in the end is its essence to be an expression of the power of the people and in the conditions of Cuba that although we have always been prosecuted and criticized by the enemies have no doubts that this is a Revolution, as Fidel said at a time in the history of the humble, with the humble and for the humble, added Federico Hernández.¨
