The visit of the Ministry of Education confirms that Granma is ready to resume the school year

The general director of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, Marlén Triana Mederos, presided over a visit to Granma to verify the preparations for the restart of the school year.

Accompanied by five methodologists from the primary, basic secondary, pre-university, technical education and pedagogical training levels, the directive stressed that the province is ready to resume the teaching stage in person.

The delegation toured 16 institutions in six municipalities where they evaluated the implementation of sanitary hygiene measures to guarantee the protection of students and workers in the sector, when schools open their doors.

In the same way, they appreciated the conditioning of schools that served as isolation centers and the repair of buildings, the cleaning and beautification of the schools prior to the start-up, scheduled for November 15.

The ministerial education visit spoke with educators in the centers visited and was concerned about the emotional state of the cloisters and the exchange with the families of the students, through the parents’ meetings that take place in schools these days.

In the Board of Directors after the tour, the conditions of the province were assessed to resume the school stage interrupted by the pandemic, after completing the vaccination schedule for the second and third group of students.

Teresa Pérez Trinchet, Provincial Director of Education, recognized the contribution of the sector’s workers in tasks of social impact and the confrontation with the pandemic and the preparation that teachers receive to face the challenge of completing the teaching stage.
