The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) recorded on Friday 22 people with the novel SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, totaling 2,005, and no deaths have been reported.
In his usual press briefing, Dr. Francisco Duran, director of Epidemiology at MINSAP, informed that the patients tested during the last 24 hours are Cubans, 18 of which are contacts of confirmed or suspected cases and the source of infection of four cases is being investigated.
About 1,363 diagnostic tests were studied on Thursday so as to determine if they were positive for Covid-19, and 101,108 samples have been so far registered from people admitted as suspects and contacts of patients suffering from the disease.
No deaths have been reported in the last hours, so the death toll remains at 82.
About 569 patients are in hospitals for clinical-epidemiological surveillance, and another 1,815 people are being followed up by Primary Health Care at their homes.
